Wellbeing Services and Events
We organise and run a number of services as well as our community transport. Below you will find information on our regular social events. To find out more call the office 029 20513700 or just come along.
Soup Club Lunch
Our Soup Lunch runs every Monday at Murchfield Community Centre on Sunnycroft Lane from 11.30am to 1pm. It's a community lunch and open to all. You can book in advance or just turn up. For £3 you can enjoy a bowl of hot soup, a fabulous cake and as many hot drinks as you like. Doors open 11.30am and lunch is served from 11.45am.
Memory Cafe
Our Memory Cafe takes place on the 2nd and 4th Friday of every month from 10am until 12 at Murchfield Community Centre, Sunnycroft Lane. Hot drinks, cakes and biscuits are all provided free of charge. It's a supportive safe space for anyone affected by memory problems including friends, family and carers. No referrals are necessary.
Wellbeing Garden
Our Wellbeing Garden runs on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month between spring and autumn. Our garden is situated in Nightingale Community Gardens. It's a relaxing space where we can grow vegetables and enjoy a coffee and a chat. Open to all. No referrals necessary.
Afternoon Community Club
Why not come along to Murchfield Community Centre on the 3rd Tuesday of every month for hot drinks and home baking. There's also the chance to play board games, get creative or just sit and chat. There's no charge and transport is available.
Strawberry Tea
Our memorable Strawberry Teas take place every year in July. There are always plenty of strawberries and cream, not forgetting the cakes from the local W.I. ladies who help out on the day. It takes place in the lovely gardens of the Parish hall with live music and plenty of sun!
Live Music Events
Our regular band for our live music events is The Sunsets. They play every year in October at our fundraiser 'Rock and Chips' and in 2022 they also played outdoors for our Jubilee event. Look out for more dates from them in 2023 including the Coronation Party.
